Callers are told when they’re speaking with an automated assistant. Call recording is off by default.
Less voicemail.
More qualified opportunities.
Built by a restaurant operator.
I began my hospitality career at Grand Wailea Resort & Spa. My first restaurant job was at Wolfgang Puck’s Spago, and I later worked at Nick’s Fishmarket on Maui. After moving to Los Angeles, I joined the opening team at Waterloo and City with Carlos Tomazos (Per Se and Gilt) and Chef Brendan Collins (Melisse). I then helped open Larry’s in Venice and became its General Manager. Belcampo Meat Company recruited me as General Manager to open its Santa Monica flagship; I also assisted with its Downtown Los Angeles and San Francisco openings. My experience also includes fast-casual operations at Golden Road Brewing and Mendocino Farms.

Clear answers
before launch.
What is restaurant overflow call capture?
Hostess answers calls your team cannot take, using approved information to qualify private dining, catering, and large-party inquiries before sending your team a structured opportunity.
How does overflow forwarding work?
Your existing restaurant number rings staff first. Unanswered or after-hours calls conditionally forward to Hostess. Setup is carrier-specific and verified with a live test before activation.
Can Hostess confirm reservations or events?
No. It captures requests and marks them for review. It never claims availability, a reservation, or an event is confirmed without authorization from your team or a connected system.
What number receives human transfers?
Each location configures a separate manager or office number. It must differ from the restaurant’s forwarded number, the AI number, and any route that could return to the AI.
Are calls recorded?
Recording is off by default. Any recording or transcript retention requires an approved location-level policy and appropriate disclosure.
What happens if Hostess cannot safely answer?
It uses approved information only, escalates urgent or sensitive questions, and collects a callback request if a safe transfer or tool action cannot be completed.
Does Hostess replace Tripleseat or Perfect Venue?
No. Hostess is the phone capture layer above your existing event workflow. Leads can be sent by email, CSV, or webhook when configured.
How does the pilot work?
We handle onboarding, configure overflow routing, test the calls, and measure whether the phone channel produces enough qualified opportunities to justify ongoing use.
